Final Project Progress

I've been using my Sharpies and pens to draw up my final project and this is how far I've come. I'm going to finish it as soon as I can and upload the final product.

I think all art is great and it makes you see the world in a different way all the time. Art changes you but it's in a good way.

Pulp Covers

These are my pulp covers. The first one is finished and the second still needs some work. I plan on editing it on photoshop to give it a more realistc effect and this assigment was actually really fun!

This is my second pulp cover in progress. Octopuses have taken to space only to be attacked by UFOS once they got there! I've mostly used illustrator for this assignment and added different effects to my octopuses and  UFOs.

Anachronistic Project

This is my anachronistic portrait. It still needs some editing before it's finished but I'm posting it now. George decided he needed a new wardrobe and went with skinny jeans and a sweatshirt from his favorite movie, The Fault in Our Stars :D He also likes checking himself out in the mirror. if he dyed his hair, he might actually be cute! Both photoshop and illustrator were used for this project, and they were very helpul.

Fairy Tale Artstart

For my fairy tale illustration, I chose Rapunzel because I always liked her story as a child and I loved her long hair. At home, I drew a different version of Rapunzel who was dark and was going to have long black curly hair instead of golden straight hair. I'm going to scan it in and edit it on illustrator to make her look like I'm imagining her. 

Dark Rapunzel

This is the start of my fairy tale assignment, I'm doing Rapunzel. I just started her out on some paper and tried to make some evil eyes and give her dark makeup. I plan on jazzing it up on illustrator, I'm going to give her a whole body and some long black wavy hair to give her a dark essence. I hope it turns out good when I get started on the computer with it! 

Valentine's Day Cards in the making...

These are my own Valentine's Day cards. They're still in the making because I had been sick and wasn't able to do more with them yet but as soon as I finish them, they'll be up on my blog! I scanned them into the computer and I'm using illustrator to fix them up. The pen tool is quite handy and it allows me to trace my drawings and fill in all the colors I want. It's fun to do and I can't wait to finish my others!

This quote makes me think of all the fairy tales I read when I was little and how much my imagination expanded because of it. It enhanced my creativity a lot and I plan to tell my kids fairy tales if I ever have any.

Redone Sandman

This is my sandman that I redid because I really didn't like my last one. Using illustrator and Photoshop, I blended colors and made a sort of abstract piece. I do like this one a little more than the other. But I'm still learning. :D

This quote makes me think of how you're suppose to love everyone but everyone is not who they seem to be so you only trust some and even if someone does something wrong to you, you should be the bigger person and not do anything wrong back even if you really want to. Love your neighbors :)

The Sandman

This is my sandman illustration. I don't really like it because it didn't turn out like I wanted it to at all so I plan on redoing it later but it was suppose to be half a face and some art in the back but I kinda just messed it up really.

My Inexperienced 5th grade work

This is some very unappealing work I did back in 5th grade which was 5 years ago. The first one was suppose to be an abstract drawing of random things and I thought it would be funny to hide stuff in the drawing but now that I look at it, I bang my head on the table at how dumb it was. You can easily see my name, the word "mommy" and the numbers at the top. The second one, I like slightly better because I used oil pastels to create it and since I love flowers, I decided to make a vase full of different ones. After drawing and coloring in with the oil pastels, I outlined everything with glue. Once that dried, using a paint roller, I smeared a black charcoal mix that my art teacher had back then to make the outline appear. It was fun to do and I do like it better than the first one. My 5th grade teacher hung them in the hallway for a whole year! (:
